Well, I have begun my NaBoMoReMo journey. And, even better, my Non-member Mother is joining me! Yeah!

The McDonald’s Analogy
November 30th, 2007 · No Comments
Edit: Apparently, this analogy has stirred up controversy elsewhere for objectifying women and whatnot. I’m not going to apologize for posting it, since I still think it’s brilliant, but I will say this–it’s not about objectifying women. It’s not even about sex–although I can see how some people would get that out of it. It’s about all the experiences you shared as a couple, and the emotional closeness, which will never again be there. And I’m sorry, but I’d rather not see my exes at all than see them developing that with someone else. I’m happy for them, but I still don’t want to see it. Anyway, without further ado, back to the original post.
I was stumbling around the web today (and if you haven’t tried out Stumble, you really should), and I came across this article on a radio website. I think it makes a lot of sense, and is one of the best explanations of the whole friendship-post-romantic relationship deal I’ve ever read. At least as far as conciseness. [Read more →]

Rebuilding my files
November 28th, 2007 · 8 Comments
When I originally started my Family History work, I got in fast. I had a lot of info to work with, and I found some very interesting things out. I had a PAF file with roughly 3,000 names in it, which was awesome in my book. I know it’s small compared to some, but that is a lot of data entry work, as well as the background research. Then the unthinkable happened. My hard drives crashed. [Read more →]

NaBoMoReMo

Well, I found a great idea at Top of the Mountains today — December is National Book of Mormon Reading Month (NaBoMoReMo), so I’ve got my to-dos set and I’m going for it. [Read more →]

Musings of the King of Drama

It’s interesting. I’ve never thought of myself as a fan of controversy. As far as I can tell, I have spent my life thriving on stability. However, it seems that controversy surrounds me everywhere I go. And I don’t particularly enjoy it. The past month is a case in point. [Read more →]

Going to Japan…hopefully
November 27th, 2007 · No Comments
It’s been an interesting week. I got up to Sacramento, and it’s interesting to me how quickly things have happened. I got back on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and on Monday I got home to a message from ITT asking me to come down to interview as a Multimedia instructor. Which is cool, since I like teaching (and would be doing just that if I was still in Las Vegas, as of January). By Wednesday I had the job, and I start in a week. All good. [Read more →]

Leaving Las Vegas
November 18th, 2007 · 1 Comment
OK, my dry spell is up. Sorry about the lack of posts, again, but I should finally start to have more time on my hands. For the last month (plus a week or so), I’ve been packing and cleaning my house in Las Vegas to get it on the rental market, so I’ve been insanely busy. No more of that–I’m hiring movers next time. Anyways, keep your fingers crossed, because now I’m in California, and it should be quite interesting from here on out!

Revenge of the Names beginning with R
November 2nd, 2007 · 2 Comments
First off, I know it’s been a while since I posted anything new, and I apologize for that. I will correct that now. I have noticed an anomaly in my life, and I think it beats the statistical odds. I just spoke to my most recent ex, and found out that she is getting married next April or May. Congratulations to her — she deserves all the best. I could go off into a rant about WHY all my exes (yup, all four of them — I’ve dated a WHOLE lot in my life lol) feel the need to tell me that they are getting married, even if we haven’t spoken since we broke up. However, I am going to take the high road here — oh, too late. Oh well, the best of intentions and all. [Read more →]

I am NOT inactive!
October 23rd, 2007 · 2 Comments
Sorry for the lack of quality posts in the past few days, I’m going to try to remedy that in the next day or two. But at the moment, I have a little bit of righteous indignation, and I want to set the record straight. I notice in my statistics module that the top search term that has been used to find my site is ‘inactive lds singles.’ Now, to be honest, I don’t have a major problem with that, as I’m not particularly picky about who comes to this blog. However, I want it to be very clear that I am in no way inactive in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, dating policies aside. I have a very strong testimony of the gospel, I attend Church regularly, I go to the Temple, and I am active in my callings. [Read more →]

So who exactly is this E-Indeed character, anyway?
October 17th, 2007 · 4 Comments
I know that from my first few posts, I’ve probably come across as your typical bitter single guy who’s sick of being hurt. Or maybe atypical, since I don’t see that many bitter single guys who actually post blogs about the thoughts that go through their heads. In a way, you’d probably be right. I don’t see myself as bitter, although I can’t contest that I’m a single guy–if I wasn’t single, or a guy, I’d completely invalidate my previous posts as a lie. That’s a joke. Go ahead, laugh. You know you want to. OK, fine, jokes aren’t my strong point. Anyway, it occurs to me that anyone who reads this blog might want to know a bit more about me than the bits and pieces I reveal in my posts, just as I like to know who is behind the posts at the blogs I read.
